ABF Tentative Agreement Reached, But Terms Kept Secret

ABF and the IBT Freight Division have reached a tentative national agreement. No details have been released to the members.

A “two-person” meeting for officers of all affected locals will reportedly be held on April 10 or 11. The tentative agreement will reviewed there, and then go to the membership for a vote.

Teamsters United will get out information and bulletins out at that time.

The IBT agree to extend the contract past April 1 during the ratification period.

ABF drivers, dockworkers and clericals expect major improvements and no further concessions.

Key areas of concern include restoring wages, vacation time, subcontracting, and “purchased transportation.”

Teamster members need to be ready to evaluate the proposed contract and make their voices heard.
