UPS Teamsters are collecting signatures on a Contract Unity Pledge to send UPS and the International Union a message that members are fed up with harassment and won’t accept another weak contract.
The International Union has started the process of collecting contract proposals from local unions.
“The Contract Unity Pledge is the first step in our campaign to inform and unite UPS Teamsters and to tell UPS and the International Union that we won’t settle short this time,” said Teamsters United leader Fred Zuckerman.
The contract pledge effort is catching on.
“Everyone is fed up and happy to put UPS on notice that we’re serious. In just a few hours we collected hundreds of pledge cards. We’re going to keep it up, get more members involved, and make sure everyone is staying informed about what’s going on with the contract.”

“We learned from last time that we can’t wait for a bad deal to come down. The pledge cards are the perfect way to show members we know the issues, we’re building a campaign to take them on, and we’re hitting the gates to get it done.”
