New England UPSers Celebrate Strike Anniversary

Teamster members in New England celebrated the 20th anniversary of the UPS strike today by holding a parking lot rally in Providence and collecting signatures on the Teamsters United Contract Unity Pledge.

UPS Teamsters nationwide are signing the pledge to send UPS and the International Union the message -- members are fed up with harassment and won’t accept another weak contract.
Twenty years ago to the day, 185,000 UPS Teamsters walked off the job and shut down the company for 15 days. We won wage and pension increases and the first 22.3 full-time jobs in Teamster history.
Today, management is on the offensive and UPS Teamsters have had enough. We're demanding a contract that reverses the givebacks, provides real protections against harassment and excessive overtime, and delivers higher wages and more full-time jobs for part-timers.

Teamster members speak out on why they're supporting Fred Zuckerman and Teamsters United. Watch more videos about how Fred fights for us.
