Political Action

The political system in Washington D.C. and state capitols is broken.

Establishment politicians are bought and paid for by lobbyists and corporate special interests.

Teamster political power comes from organizing members—not following the rules of a rigged system where corporations vastly outspend us.

When the Wall Street financial crisis threatened Teamster pensions, President Hoffa teamed up with the employers, not the members.

Hoffa joined the board of a lobbying group that drafted pension cut legislation to allow Teamster funds to slash our pensions.

That is exactly the wrong approach.

As General President, Fred Zuckerman will use Teamster political action funds to mobilize Teamster members and allies to build grassroots political power for good jobs, pensions, the right to organize, fair trade and other economic justice issues.

We will not team up with employers on anti-worker legislation.

We will not write blank checks to politicians who forget all about us after the votes are counted.

Teamster members speak out on why they're supporting Fred Zuckerman and Teamsters United. Watch more videos about how Fred fights for us.
