Poll: Should Contract Proposals Be Kept Secret From The Members?

The Teamster contract proposals to UPS and UPS Freight were set on October 17.

But the Hoffa administration has ordered that the contract proposals be kept secret from the members. Do you agree with this Information Brownout?

Take the one-question poll and have your say.

In an unprecedented move, all copies of the Bargaining Proposals were confiscated from every local union officer after they were voted on and approved.

Package Division Director Denis Taylor even threatened to file internal union charges against local union leaders if they informed members about the union’s bargaining demands.

The Hoffa administration’s plan is to give the proposals to management first.

Fred Zuckerman denounced this information brownout and he voted against the Hoffa-Taylor administration’s contract proposals.

Teamsters United calls for the IBT to make the bargaining demands available to all members and start mobilizing UPS Teamsters to win them.
