Teamsters United Vice Presidents to Take Office

VPs-2.png

Six Teamsters United leaders will be officially sworn in as International Union Vice Presidents on March 20.

The majority of Teamsters in the United States voted for the Fred Zuckerman Teamsters United Slate, and Teamsters United vice president candidates won handily in the Central and Southern Regions.

Tony Jones, Bill Frisky, Avral Thompson, and Bob Kopystynsky were elected as the IBT Vice Presidents for the Central Region.

John Palmer and Kimberly Schultz were elected the Vice Presidents for the Southern Region.

“Teamsters are fed up with concessions and pension cuts,” said Tony Jones. “The members made their voices heard at the ballot box—and we will make their voices heard on the General Executive Board.”

The next General Executive Board meeting will be held in May during the Teamster Unity Conference in Las Vegas.

“We will be the eyes and ears of the membership,” Bill Frisky said. “We were elected to serve the members, and that’s just what we will do.”

“Our job is to be the voice of the members and to report back to them,” said Kim Schultz. “Members want communication and transparency—and that’s what they can expect from us.”
