Hoffa running mate Ken Hall faces expulsion from the union for obstructing investigations into corruption, embezzlement, employer gifts, and payoffs.
Federal anti-corruption officials have charged Hoffa’s running mate Ken Hall with obstructing investigations into corruption by hiding and destroying thousands of documents and emails.
The charges against Hall were issued by the Independent Investigations Officer, a position created under the Final Order, a settlement of a RICO lawsuit filed against the IBT by the Justice Department. They will likely result in his expulsion from the Teamsters.
The U.S. Attorney is headed to federal court to demand the Hoffa-Hall administration turn over 17,334 emails and documents they have withheld from corruption investigators for six months.
Anti-corruption officers are investigating embezzlement, bid-rigging in benefit plans, illegal employer gifts, and other corruption by top Hoffa-Hall administration officials.
The targets of the investigation include Hoffa, Hall, Hoffa’s assistant Willie Smith, running mate Rome Aloise, campaign operative Richard Leebove, and others.
For over six months, Hall lied and stonewalled the investigators to hide the corruption scandal from the members until after the International Union election.
But Teamster members still have time to vote against Hoffa-Hall corruption. Mail your ballot by November 9 to get there by November 14. Call 844-428-8683 if you need a new ballot.
