Fred Zuckerman and the Teamsters United slate are leading Hoffa-Hall as the vote count enters what may be its final day. The election is tight and may go down to the wire. Teamsters United swept the balloting in the South and Central Regions. The ballots in the West will be counted next, followed by Teamsters Canada.
Teamster members have elected six Teamsters United slate members to the General Executive Board.
Members can look forward to strong leadership from John Palmer, Kimberly Schultz, Bill Frisky, Tony Jones, Bob Kopystynsky and Avral Thompson as International Union Vice Presidents who stand with the members.
The Hoffa-Hall slate was desperate to avoid this election. First, they tried to keep Teamsters United off the ballot. Then, they used union resources to obstruct investigators and cover up their corruption until after the vote had been held.
But Teamster members are fighters—and they are fighting back for change.
