Hoffa and Ken Hall spent millions in members’ dues to benefit their campaign by obstructing investigators and preventing members from learning about the extent of their corruption until after the vote. The election hasn’t been certified yet, and it shouldn’t be. Members deserve a rerun.
As the ballots were tallied this week, we shocked the employers and the Hoffa-Hall slate and won the majority of the vote from Teamsters in the United States. Hoffa-Hall overtook our lead when the Teamsters Canada ballots were counted.
Tomorrow, the Election Supervisor’s office will start to resolve the ballots that were challenged because of eligibility issues.

Fred Zuckerman and the Teamsters United slate are leading Hoffa-Hall as the vote count enters what may be its final day. The election is tight and may go down to the wire. Teamsters United swept the balloting in the South and Central Regions. The ballots in the West will be counted next, followed by Teamsters Canada.
The vote count for the International Union election will begin on Monday, November 14 and run through the end of the week. Teamsters United will have a team of observers who will monitor every stage of the count. We will post the local-by-local results online as they come in.
At the debate, Fred Zuckerman challenged Ken Hall to stop covering up corruption. Soon, Hall won’t have any choice.
The U.S. Attorney is headed to federal court to demand the Hoffa-Hall administration turn over 17,334 emails and documents they have withheld from corruption investigators for six months.
The Election Supervisor has fined the Hoffa-Hall Campaign for cheating in the local union election in New England Local 251.
Candidates for the Hoffa-backed “251 Strong” slate illegally obtained a membership list from the Hoffa Campaign. They used it to match members’ phone numbers and call them about the local election.
The scheme by Hoffa-Hall and Local 251 violated both IBT election rules and federal law.
