Chicago Teamsters are ready for new Teamster leadership at the International. Now they’ve launched the campaign committee to make it happen.
More than 80 Teamsters turned out to meet with Tim Sylvester, Fred Zuckerman and Tony Jones and to form Chicago Teamsters United on April 11.
“Meeting Teamsters United candidates was informative and inspiring. I'm motivated and ready to go,” said Local 705 Teamster Marcos Salgado.
“I'm donating $25 a month to the campaign and when it’s time for the petition drive, I’ll be ready to go," said Salgado.
We've had enough of being lied to and stolen from. We've woken up and are ready for a full house-cleaning,” said Local 710 Teamster Ken “Spike” Gross.
“I'm not just going to organize in my local. I'm pulling in my union brothers and sisters from the trades and across the region. That’s what it’s going to take to elect the Teamsters United slate in 2016,” Gross said.
