The vote count for the International Union election will begin on Monday, November 14 and run through the end of the week. Teamsters United will have a team of observers who will monitor every stage of the count. We will post the local-by-local results online as they come in.
The vote count is being run by an independent Election Supervisor, and not Hoffa or Hall. That’s a very good thing.
Last week, Ken Hall was charged with obstructing investigations into corruption by the Independent Investigations Officer. Aren’t you glad Hoffa and Hall aren’t in charge of the vote count?
Teamsters United will have a team of observers at the count in Alexandria, Virginia all week. Our observers are Teamsters who are coming from across the country on their own time and their own dime. We all owe them a debt of gratitude.
I could not be prouder of the Teamsters United campaign—and I can’t thank you enough for being a part of this movement.
P.S.: A fair election is priceless—but it’s not free. Teamsters United is fundraising $2,000 to cover the cost of supporting our observers and monitoring the vote count. Click here if you can donate $5 to support our vote count team—and thank you for everything you have done to fight for a stronger Teamsters Union.
