Some 150 Teamsters from nearly a dozen locals came out to the Teamsters United Hog Roast in Fort Wayne Indiana, hosted by Local 414’s Teamsters United for Change Delegate Slate.
“Seeing Teamsters travel from out of state was energizing. We’re bringing freight members together for the first time in years, and uniting our local membership across industries to bring in new leadership,” said Randy Sprong, a Holland Steward in Local 414 and Teamsters United for Change backer.
Over $6,000 was contributed by Teamsters eager for new Teamster leadership and a new direction. Teamsters United Candidates Tony Jones, John Thyer, Bill Frisky and Fred Zuckerman were on hand to talk about the future and hear Teamsters’ concerns.
In Dallas, 50 members came to the park for a potluck and a chance to meet other Teamsters United supporters and Teamsters United candidates John Palmer, Kim Schultz, and Fred Zuckerman. Locals 745 and 767 were well represented and are building the movement to take back our union.
